Our history
Comptoir des Huiles is a story that began with a trip more than 20 years ago, and which transformed into the adventure of a lifetime for Stéphane, my husband, and myself Virginie, founders of the brand.
The adventure of a lifetime.
It was during a trip to Madagascar that we discovered the richness of the Big Island in oilseeds. From these seeds, we first made vegetable oils: natural, organic, pure and beneficial.
Promote responsible beauty.
Over the years, our knowledge of seeds, oils and their multiple virtues has increased. Pioneers in the ethical cosmetics market, we created Comptoir des Huiles to share this wealth and our knowledge with you, in order to promote responsible, accessible and effective beauty.
We have therefore made these oils products with exceptional properties, thanks to a unique and conscientious production process, 100% transparent and 100% traceable.
Respect natural ecosystems.
Our seeds are in fact harvested according to an innovative and virtuous harvest cycle set up in partnership with local producers. We thus protect the wild nature of the Big Island and fight against deforestation by raising awareness of environmental issues among the farmers with whom we work. Today, we are partners of more than 13,000 Malagasy farmers.
