Marula oil: the versatile treatment that is suitable for all skin types
This vegetable oil promotes long-term hydration of your skin, but also provides protection and shine to the hair, nourishing it without greasing it.
What is its origin ?
The Marula tree grows naturally in southern Madagascar.
Also nicknamed "elephant tree" because elephants love its fruit, the Marula fruit tree is found in the wooded areas of the south of the African continent. It is part of the same family as the mango tree and the pistachio tree. This tree produces small fleshy fruits 8 times richer in Vitamin C than an orange.
Unfortunately, it is little valued and is often cut for the production of charcoal. Thanks to our virtuous production, we protect these trees. The production of our Marula oil brings real value to the eyes of the Malagasy population!
1 liter of Marula oil = 4 trees protected
What are its benefits ?
Marula vegetable oil protects the skin from dehydration.
- Its richness in palmitic acid, a saturated fatty acid, gives it a structure close to that of the skin's hydrolipidic film, and thus strengthens the skin barrier.
- Oleic acid (omega-9 family), nourishing the skin, makes it more supple and softer but also more radiant.
- Its high concentration of vitamins C and E prevents the formation of free radicals, responsible for skin aging.
